The Jack Aknin Memorial Bridge Gala will raise funds for Bridging the Gap Africa (BTGA) to build a bridge in Kenya in honor of Jack Aknin. Jack lost his battle with Melanoma on April 27, 2011. Jack’s dear friend Harmon Parker, founder of BTGA, builds beautiful suspended footbridges across the many rivers of a walking world, saving lives everyday.
This highly anticipated event will be held in San Jose, California at The Tech Museum, combining innovation from our world with the innovation of a walking world!
Guests will enjoy fantastic African decor, foods prepared by the best local chefs, wine tasting, African cocktails, music, silent auction, dancing, and exciting surprises.
Ways to Contribute
Additional monies raised will go into the BTGA general fund.
